s YouTube still worth investing time and money into for traffic in 2026? With TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and other short-form platforms growing rapidly, I'm curious whether YouTube is still delivering better long-term results. One thing I like about YouTube is that videos can continue generating views, search traffic, leads, and sales long after they are published. With the right combination of keyword research, engaging titles and thumbnails, useful content, SEO, and consistent uploads, I believe YouTube can still be a powerful traffic source for businesses, affiliates, creators, and eCommerce brands. youtube is still strong imo, especially for content that solve a specific problem. shorts help with reach, but long video usually bring better quality traffic nd conversions over time.

Yes, indeed. Long-form videos tend to draw viewers with higher intent. Short videos are great for exploration, but I have seen many search.driven videos drive traffic for much longer.

Yes, it is still works really well but it depends on how we use it. The title, description, thumbnail, keywords, and overall video quality all play a role. If you target the right audience and optimize properly then Youtube can still bring good traffic in 2026.
 
Yes youtube is still one of the best platform as traffic and reach if you do quality videos you shouldn't have any issue. Tiktok is also good now

definitely. i believe that utube will be worth it in 2026 mainly bcz great videos will continue attracting visitors to ur videos months or even years after posting them. shorts are great for instant gratification but long form videos attract more targeted visitors nd conversions. my strategy would be SEO friendly topics, great thumbnails nd reggular uploads.
 
Yes, YouTube is still a very good source for traffic, especially for Amazon affiliate websites.
 
It’s obviously niche dependent but YT is definitely a solid source of traffic with a decent conversion rate if you manage to rank high on top of your keywords first page.
 
TikTok views are pure junk traffic kids scrolling with zero money. YouTube is where people search when they're actually looking to buy something.
A 5mins sloppy review video from 2 years ago still brings me passive cash every week. Make decent search-based videos, drop your link in the pinned comment, and let it sit
 
Youtube is still a very impactful platform to get traffic, if your purely just focusing on traffic , then go for shorts videos...YT is aggressively pushing shorts videos to compete with tiktok. The only issue with shorts is earning capablities and you fail to have a strong audience that keeps coming back to your channel.

My suggestion would be to create long form videos with absoulte value, youtube favors videos that are having a strong value to it like educational, entertainment or whatever and other than earning from adsense you get sponsership deals, can earn through super chats, memberships etc.

Do not compromise on quality, either you do the best or you dont! That is how you win in youtube in 2026.

Yes, still worthwhile, in my opinion. particularly for evergreen and search-based content. Shots are great for reach, but long videos generally compound more effectively when they solve a problem and target buying intent.
 
still worth it. YouTube traffic has way more shelf life than most short-form stuff. A good video can keep pulling views and leads months later. I’d take 10 solid evergreen videos over 100 random clips any day.
 
Yeah, I still think YouTube is worth it. Shorts can bring quick reach, but long videos usually bring better quality traffic and keep working for much longer.

imo youtube is definitely underrated in term of traffic generation. what you need is a topic which is searched by many people with absolutely no competition.
 
I think YouTube is still good for long term traffic, but you need to give it some time. I do not expect a new channel to bring steady traffic in the first few weeks.

I still gives youtube high marks for traffic generation. Shorts are gud for the fast surge in traffic but videos were far more likely to generate steady traffic months after publication.
 
Yes, YouTube is still the best traffic platform. If you make short videos with quality maintenance, then easily get good reach. But long videos can help keep traffic.
 
It’s a solid source depending on niche, anything tech/development related can go pretty hard there if you manage to rank your content.
