I actually don't have experience with business partners, I'm working by myself all the time, but there are some unofficial partners, my biggest red flag to mention would be lack of punctuality, people who don't respect deadlines or just take ages to answer something, this can be something very annoying, unprofessional and make your business get stuck.

Their kindness and mindset are simple: if they are a bad person in any aspect of life, they will 100% betray you or cut you off at some point. That’s a big red flag. If he cheats on his wife and you say, “Oh, but he won’t cheat in business,” yes, he will. Just my experience

For me, another big red flag is someone who makes big promises but stays vague when you ask for actual details

Spot on! Poor communication and missing deadlines are the fastest ways to kill trust.
For me, the biggest red flag is deflectiveness (refusing to take accountability). If something goes wrong and their immediate reaction is to blame the market, the clients, or the tools instead of saying "My bad, let me fix it," I know they are not partner material.
Business is full of mistakes; you need a partner who solves problems, not someone who makes excuses.

For every successful partnership there are 10 others where things eventually go wrong, often because of disagreement on trivial things. I prefer hiring rather than partnering.

The issues you mentioned are all real, but sometimes they are simply out of your control. The best solution is to find a stable and reliable partner who can manage and control the processing timeline more effectively.

For me, nothing screams red flag louder than poor communication. When someone constantly misses deadlines or takes forever to reply, it drags everything to a halt. It's frustrating and it wears you down. I truly believe that good communication and reliability aren't just nice to have, they're the foundation of any strong partnership. Without that, everything else starts to fall apart.

Don’t go into business with someone who’s constantly chasing hookups or spending every night partying. A partner battling addiction can be really hard to work with and even harder to help overcome it.

Someone that cant come on time, or that keeps bringing up excuses that their mom got sick and they couldent attend

apart from punctuality that you mentioned i also noticed them about seriousness about their work. If they ever try to make a joke about the work. I just don't make partnership with them. In my opinion this is the biggest red flag about any business partnership.

my biggest red flag is they're always telling jokes to you and never serious even when talking business. such a person will also come to the partnership with the same attitude, and you will not get far
