A seperate domain would not make the risk disappear. Search engines and platforms are pretty good at connecting pattern, redirects, ownerships signals and abuse reports. If the promotion method itself violates rules, the problem can eventually follow back to the main site.

The alternative domain wouldn’t really serve as a fallback. A 301 redirect doesn’t insulate the primary website from penalties. If Google detects a manipulation strategy, the primary domain could still be affected. Using links from hacked accounts also carries significant risk, especially if the main website is valuable.

A second domain does not makes the primary site un touchable if there is a connection between the two. in my opinion if the techniques was able to make the source account liable then the destination can be affected too.

Use a throw away domain for sure as a buffer in order not to get ur main money site burnt immediately. but remember that if the burner is penalised heavily, then the toxic backlink profile will pass right through the 301.

I wouldn’t use a second domain as a safety layer. If the links come from hacked accounts or other prohibited methods a 301 redirect doesn’t reliably protect the main domain. If your main site matters it’s safer to build links through legitimate, controlled methods rather than trying to hide the source.

A 301 won’t really make the main domain “safe” if the links are coming from hacked accounts. If the activity is discovered, Google can still connect the domains, and you could end up putting both sites at risk. If you’re experimenting with black-hat tactics, keeping it separate from a site you actually care about is the safer approach, but there’s no guaranteed way to shield the main domain.
