In my experience, effective link building is more about relevance, quality, and consistency than simply increasing the number of backlinks. A well placed link from a relevant, credible source can be far more valuable than a large volume of unrelated links. What link building approach has been the most consistent for you?

You already had the answer. I’d add that I also look at the traffic trend, and whether the page actually gets indexed.

A relevant link from a clean site with real activity is usually more useful than sites that only look good with high metrics.

what you said in starting it truly summed up, I just wanna add one thing, If I get a backlink from a website where 90% of the traffic comes from the USA, and my website also targets the USA market and the same niche, this is the best and quality backlink.

Quality always wins over quantity. A single link from a high-relevance site with actual organic search traffic drives far better results than dozens of low-tier, automated backlinks
 
Both are important in my opinion, you just need to build a lot of quality backlinks.

definitely yes, I agre with this statement. I alway think about relevance, traffic quality, link position instead of concentrating only on Domain Rating nd backlink.
