How to make clickable Videos on X (Twitter) ?

you can only do it in the ad format. Before the X update in early 2026, you could post clickable images but the feature was changed/removed so now only when running ads can you use it

Actually, the mechanism for attaching links to videos is still working, it's just a bit harder to pull off now. Right now, users normally need a Premium account to use this feature. But there’s a trick to bypass the $8 fee and use it freely. The cool thing is, if you target the right niche, the CTR (click-through rate) from these video links is incredibly high.

Posting clickable photos was removed from X at the start of this year I think.

Good to know. Didn't know about that.

Put in an attention-grabbing caption, relevant link, and call-to-action.

It seem that X is changing the characteristic all the time therefore, the old tactic will no longer be applicable. It is safer to opt for video website card.

It seem like X is constantly changing these attributes, making the conventional method obsolete very soon after. video Website card method is the best option at the moment compared to some uncharted hacks.

I can only do this with images, but I don't know how to do it with videos. Could anyone please guide me?

For embedding links into the videos themselves, unfortunately X does not allow it in their organic videos.
My suggestion here would be to have a good call,to,action at the end of the video + post.

You need to use Twitter Ads Manager (Website Card feature). Create a Video Website Card campaign, upload your video, set your destination URL, and you don't even need to spend money running the ad to tweet the card organically

X does not normally make the video itself clickable. You can also add the link in the post text so people can click it or use an available link preview when posting.

For posting a video where users can go by clicking on it to open the linked website, the Video Website Card feature from X Ads Manager has to be used. Using this feature is totally free of cost; y u need not necessarily start a paid a vertising campaign to post it organically on your page.

Otherwise, if you are simply looking for ways to post someone else's trending video natively without mentioning the account of the user in any way, then you can copy the post link of the user and add "/video/1" at the end of it
I used that way, it makes video clickable. But when I post like this, the post doesn't appear in my posts. I have to repost it to make it appear on my profile page (in Reposts section) is there anyway to fix this?

I have seen these imgur posts recently. When you click on them, they will take you to some ad page. Do you know how they create redirect from imgur to ad page? Because imgur is an independent platform, and will not allow us to create redirect in it?

I tried this method, but the posted video wasn't public—no one could see my post at all. Is there any way to use this feature publicly without paying any fees, bro? I still see many accounts doing this every day.

The Video Website Card method seems to be the best option, but I would be interested to know whether it still works reliably for organic posts without running a paid campaign.

standard video uploads aren't natively clickable to external sites without using the X Ads dashboard. you either build a custom Twitter Card via Ads Manager (Website Card setup) or host the video on a pre-landing page with proper Twitter Player/Summary card meta tags so X pulls the preview automatically
