Do you actually trust your own gut on SEO decisions or always waits for data?

Like something you just have a feeling of certain page needs more internal links , or a title needs changing , or a piece of content wont perform well- before any data even show it.
Do you act on that gut feeling right away or do you always wait for analytics/rankings to confirm it first...

Use gut feeling to form the idea, but still check the data before making big changes.

Small tests are fine though. If the change is easy to reverse, I'll usually try it and see what happens.
 
I use gut feeling to form the idea, but data decides whether I keep it. Sometimes you can spot an obvious issue before there is enough data to prove it.
 
Acting immediately on obvious low-hanging fruit like fixing weak title tags or adding logical internal links usually saves time. Gut feelings in SEO are mostly just pattern recognition built over years of hands-on experience anyway. While big structural changes or URL updates require data verification first, smaller on-page optimizations are fine to execute right away. : cool :
 
It happens on low competition keyword which can trust own content to rank after making the SEO optimize keyword content with research and include of differ related keyword to equip the page for index.
 
I always rely on data and real experience. Intuition is a bad advisor here.
 
I rely both on the data and myself because I have attain a certain experience that always work for me.

I think gut feeling is useful for deciding what to test, but I wouldn't make a major change based only on instinct. Test the idea first and let the data confirm it.
 
I’ll trust my gut for small changes, but I still want data to validate bigger moves. Experience can spot things early, but data keeps you honest.

If my gut is working from past patterns, then i will definietly trust the gut. But i still write down the difference and monitor the numbers. instinct selects the test nd data selects the survivor.
 
Trust experience for the initial decision but I use date to validate it, gut can spot opportunities early but rankings & gsc should confirm whether the change is actually working
 
My instinct tells me I should do that, but I will see what the data says. Sometims waiting for good data means wasting precious time when something is very clear.

These things I address instantly on the basis of experience such as title optimization and internal link optimization. It is un necessary to waste time waiting for the data from search console for something which is quite apparent and known to be defective.
 
I trust more of my experienced gut & update that based on the current available data for optimization. If you’re experienced then you’re already familiar enough what that analytics results will return so no need to waste time.

I usaully trust my gut as a starting point then check the data before making bigger changes. Sometimes experience spots problems before analytics catches up.
 
If something feels clearly wrong, I usually change it and then watch the results. Sometimes you notice things before the data does.
