the subreddit they talking about is a general one so not sure if i used another account there
also how they connected the accounts together not sure

Reddit probably uses several signals to link accounts, so the connection may have nothing to do with that specific subreddit
 
I think reddit has a way of chaining multiple signals so they can pinpoint all your activities across subreddits. They must have seen something. You should wait it out
 
Reddit probably connected the accounts through the device, IP or some other signal. If you don’t remember using another account in that sub, I’d just appeal it.
 
I had the same issue. My theory was that I was banned a long time ago on my public IP, so I just had to use a private proxy.
