Instagram 2026 Might Be Too Smart for Us…

I'd like better recommendations, but reading my mind sounds a bit too far. Good content is great, but I still want some privacy and control over what I see.

while i would definitely prefer the good recommendations i would rather have it without the feeling that i m being wattched all the time. there is a vast difference between predictions about my preferences nd knowing something that i did not tell.

You cannot avoid it. Very few will be able to limit the usage. It is more addictive than other popular forms of addiction present today.

They have got their algo mind reading down already, so bring it on if it really helps the pathetic reach. as long as there is no random shadow ban on the accounts, I does not care what else they implement with their AI.
 
It is already happening, the harder blow will come as Instagram gets better at detecting automation etc. But there will always be loopholes for people to eexperiement and share knowledge as long as two people can communicate freely
 
The “read your mind” part is where I’d draw the line . Personalized feeds are already good enough at figuring out what keeps us scrolling. AI Reels and better AR stuff sounds cool, but I don’t think I’d want Instagram knowing that much about me.
 
the personalization is already pretty close to mind reading the FYP style algos are scarily accurate without needing literal thoughts.
