Stuck at ~7–8k daily users on an adult site — how would you scale from here?

I run an adult video site focused mainly on OnlyFans/leaked creator content and webcam content, with some mainstream content mixed in as well.

The site is around 8 months old and currently gets roughly 7,000–8,000 users per day, but I feel like I’ve hit a ceiling and I’m struggling to figure out the next growth channel.

Current situation:

  • Around 7–8k daily users
  • Revenue is only about $15–20/day
  • I upload content almost every day, usually clips/topics that are currently trending
  • Most of the publishing process is automated with custom scripts
  • Every post has its own description, categories, tags and internal metadata structured with SEO in mind
  • Despite that, Google organic traffic is extremely weak
From Google I get roughly:

  • 150–200 visitors/day searching directly for the site/brand
  • Only around 5–10 visitors/day from actual non-branded organic searches
So basically Google still isn’t ranking the individual pages for anything meaningful after ~8 months.

I also don’t have a strong backlink profile. I have some links from adult aggregators/directories such as ThePornDude and a few similar sites, but nothing major.

Interestingly, I get a surprisingly large amount of traffic from Yandex / Turkey, sometimes around 2–3k users/day, but the monetization on that traffic is pretty bad.

For promotion, I previously used Reddit and it worked fairly well for driving traffic, but the accounts eventually got banned. I tried using other accounts afterward, but Reddit seems to detect them very quickly now and they get banned again, so I’ve basically stopped relying on it.

Right now I’m experimenting more with Twitter/X, but I haven’t found a repeatable strategy yet.

My goal would be to 2–3x the traffic from here and eventually reach something like $100/day, assuming I can also improve the traffic quality and monetization.

At this point I’m mostly looking for ideas from people who have actually grown adult sites:

  • What traffic sources would you focus on at this stage?
  • Is adult SEO still worth heavily investing in, or is it mostly a backlink/domain-authority game?
  • Would you focus on Twitter/X, niche communities, tube-site traffic, Telegram, paid traffic, backlinks, or something else?
  • How would you approach building backlinks in this niche?
  • Are there any adult-friendly traffic sources that actually convert well instead of sending low-value traffic?
  • Is 8 months still too early to expect meaningful Google organic growth in this niche?
  • Is there something obvious I might be missing if individual video pages are barely getting search traffic?

I’m not posting the site name because I’m mainly interested in the strategy rather than self-promotion.

Would appreciate any advice, especially from people who have scaled adult sites past this kind of traffic plateau.

The biggest red flag is the gap between traffic and revenue I’d optimize monetization and traffic quality before chasing 2 - 3x more visitors, because the current numbers suggest the bottleneck may not be traffic alone

Hey my brother i would like to talk to you about something realted to adult sites.

The biggest red flag is the gap between traffic and revenue I’d optimize monetization and traffic quality before chasing 2 - 3x more visitors, because the current numbers suggest the bottleneck may not be traffic alone
To give more context, the site is already using several monetization formats and providers.

I currently have popunder/direct-link campaigns from ExoClick, Adsterra and Kadam. They are rotated and frequency-capped rather than all being triggered simultaneously.

I also use:

  • desktop and mobile display banners;
  • native banner placements;
  • smart/direct links;
  • VAST/preroll advertising inside the video player;
  • an outstream/video-slider format that appears in the corner of the page.
Based on the current reports, the popunder/direct-link placements generate approximately $0.37–$0.48 eCPM. The VAST preroll is around $0.22, native/banner placements can reach approximately $0.14–$0.15, while several standard display banners are extremely low at around $0.003–$0.011 eCPM. The corner video slider is also only around $0.045 eCPM.

So I don’t think the problem is simply that the site lacks advertising formats. It appears that the traffic mix and very low CPMs are the bigger issues. Adding even more ads could damage retention without materially increasing revenue.

I don't have anything to help with..
I just wanna see your updates
Good luck

I’d focus on figuring out why the individual pages aren’t getting Google traffic before chasing more traffic sources. 8 months isn’t necessarily that long in a competitive niche, but if you’re only getting 5 10 organic visitors/day, there’s probably something worth checking with indexing, internal linking, or page quality.

1 - be carefull about privacy and non violations
2 - recearch ur opponents

I gently read your thread and see that you have pass through a lot but you do not give up, the energy is massive. With all what i read i can see reddit is good for traffic but easily get banned if you do not have any strong tools to mask your campaign i won't recommend reddit but what i will focus on is google ads campaign to generate traffic with the right tools to mask it.
