I havent done any affiliate marketing in last 6-7 years....

I think social media destroyed it, people promot it on those platform,...

The concept of placing banners on site X and sending traffic to your landing page and then to advertiser seems dead to me....

Whats the method you are using now?

I am also trying to find answers about this...I ve tried to search online but there s only some fake guru who is either farming views or wants to sell some course...I ll fill you in, if i find somehow something valuable.
 
The one that works best so far is "X review" where X is a rare service that few people have heard of - you rank easily and then you can use your affiliate link to get paid.

but the challenge is the traffic source, how to find that traffic source

Native ads still works but its expansive and blackhat ads is what media buyers do.
Example they change the content of the landing page and put celebrities endorsing the affiliate product.
 
yeah i agree because the old banner method is not working like before and now social media or google or seo and email are working better.

My problem is that I need to have a social media presence
Buying traffic from social networks ---> sending them to my social network ---> sending it to my landing page or i directly take orders from my social network
 
Affiliate marketing is still alive but the big change is traffic source like creators, youtube, social media, email, niche sites and paid traffic which are all being used thesedays.

And the old banner, landing page method is not much attractive but the product focused content + social traffic is now working well.
 
Affiliate marketing is definitely still alive. The old banner model is much less effective now but I’m seeing more focus on content sites social media creators short form video and product focused recommendations. The key is targeting high intent traffic rather than just sending random visitors to an offer
