If you are new to BlackHat World® and your company plans to create a sales thread in the Marketplace, please take a look at the overview of our Marketplace process.

In this guide, we want to focus on the very first step of that overview - the Account creation.

For solopreneurs, the process is as easy as setting up their personal BlackHat World account. However, we have some recommendations for companies that have tasked their employees with setting up the account and handling their Marketplace representation.

Here are a few basic rules to follow to avoid getting into trouble if your employee leaves.

Use Company Email Address
Always ask your employee to use your company's website email address. If anything happens, you can always reset the password, as you have access to the email accounts. DO NOT allow them to use a personal email - there will be no way to retrieve an account that was created under a personal email that you have no access to.

Whenever possible, always use company details, not employee details.

Use Company Credit Card
When you upgrade your account membership (either Jr VIP or Marketplace Seller), always use a company credit card. The same applies for paying any other invoices such as your sales thread's annual fee.

Multiple Staff Accounts
As per our rules, having multiple accounts is not a violation, as long as they are not used to game the system. If you want to allow multiple employees the ability to handle your company's sales threads (e.g., employee A handles support, employee B handles delivery, etc), request that they all follow the same steps listed here.

Additionally, as mentioned in our Marketplace rules, all Staff members (or Managers) of a sales thread must be explicitly mentioned in the opening post. All of their accounts must have a Jr VIP or Marketplace seller membership.

The Rule of Thumb
Our rule of thumb is - whoever started the sales thread, owns the sales thread as well as the account that created it.

Do yourself a favor and follow the tips listed here to avoid losing access to your company accounts and sales threads.

That's a really good thing for companies it can be more interesting if you reinstate the enterprise upgrade program

i am additcted to this forum as i am reading every rules and polices along with guidelines to understand more and more.

Cheers!
