Today I received an email from NordVPN about a data breach related to Buyselltext.com, a service that worked on BHW for over a decade.

This was their BST: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/permanently-closed-marketplace-sales-thread.465704/ (closed on December 2025).

According to this report, over 13k emails addresses were exposed with password, location and other private information.

That post had 531 pages of answers in 13 years.

It's fair to assume that thousands of those victims are from this forum. I received this email as someone who tried this service a couple years ago, it's fair to assume it's not a coincidence.

Update your passwords to avoid risks if you ever touched this service.

Also, the BST owner should be investigated or provide us with an answer, i can't tag @NatashaNixon here for some reason, but an answer with detailed explanations about this subject would be good.

Oh well... that's crazy. Thanks for sharing

You mean for anyone who has an account on the Buyselltext.com site, yeah?

Natasha has some explaining to do.

Although it does say it could be a false positive?

A bit like my pregnancy test.
it's possible
but i received it as someone who really used this service in the past
it makes sense to assume that my email and other information were leaked
natasha has been off since last year, not sure if we will receive any answer

For a second I thought what title said. What kind of data are we taking here? User id password. That's it or cc info too.
it seems just email, password, location and "other private data" (not specified)

We are glad this is coming, what's the remedy? So we can salvage what is left of this ruin

Your title could use a change, it's confusing as hell.

It's also been common knowledge to not use the same password all over, it's just tied to the email you signed up with there.

But yeah, change the title of this post as it got me wilding for a second lol

Well, with 13 years on this forum, 531 pages on that BST, this is one of the most used services on BHW's history, of course thousands of users here were affected
Just curious, but what’s “buyselltext” used for btw?
It was a service to buy articles. One of those services severely affected by AI growth

Damn, that’s pretty concerning. Didn’t expect a site that’s been around that long to end up in a breach like this.
