Some communities require karma to post in. But after the first 1000 post and comment it really doesn't. After much.

nah not really anymore. reddit algorithm changed so much from 2022-2023. ive seen aged accs do fine with low karma and new ones get shadowbanned even with 10k karma. mostly only matters if ur trying to mod or post in strict communities. after that threshold doesnt really make a difference

It helps in some communities, but good posts matter more than just karma.

Yeah, I think karma still matters, but I wouldn’t obsess over the number. Account age, history, and genuine participation probably matter just as much.

Yes you need karma to post on some quality subs so it is imp and you also get more trust on your post because of it.

nah karma aint what it used to be. account history and behavior matter way more. i run aged accounts with low karma that never get caught but fresh ones with high karma get shadowbanned quick. its all about account warmup and activity patterns not just the numbers
