Aged accounts vs fresh accounts for ads in 2026 — which are you actually running?

Everyone swears by aged accounts but I've seen fresh ones with a clean setup last just as long lately. What's actually working for you right now, and how long do yours survive before a ban?
I've seen that, but from testing it seems to be a lottery sometimes
THough, aged accounts rarely fail

I wouldn’t put much weight on age alone a clean consistent setup seems to matter a lot more in practice.

Older accounts are more trusted by FB.

account history can help, but the bigger factor is probably how the account is used day to day..

actually, there are many factors, your product, your content,... Many types of new acc still work well.
This means u should flexibly combine different types of accounts, as long as that account is suitable for running your product, it works well.

I think if your product is not too difficult to run, not be scanned by facebook too strictly, you can use new accs. they also work well.
old accs are not always available with large quantity, so use them reasonably.

I’ve found fresh accounts can work fine when the setup and activity stay natural. I’d focus less on account age and more on consistent genuine usage rather than trying to avoid bans through account rotation.

so there is a difference, clearly on an old account you can definitely push the ads and budget more and be a little borderline... on a fresh account obviously you are limited and also you have to be careful to avoid bans

I primarily use long-standing accounts, and they work quite well; older accounts are more effective than new ones.

Both can work, you just need to work a bit differently with fresh ones and. If you are new to black hat stuff then use aged ones, they will last longe, bit easier to use and can withstand few rejects.

Fresh accounts can definitely survive if your fingerprinting is tight, but their spend limits are the bottleneck and getting hit with a $25 or $50 daily spend cap on a fresh ad account slows down scaling completely

I wouldn't put too much weight on aged vs fresh. Aged accounts can have more history, but a clean setup and compliant campaign matter more. Meta can also require verification on newer ad accounts.

The agency accounts we've been using have been a mix, and I wouldn't judge them by a fixed "survival time" ; performance and account quality vary a lot.

I think older accounts perform better; they are more robust and less likely to get disabled.

prioritize a properly verified account with a clean history over age alone Fresh or aged staying within the platforms ad policies and maintaining consistent legitimate activity seems more important for long term stability.

both of them can run, even well. you should choose the suitable for each type of products. some products can work well with new accs, no need aged accs. but somes need old accs.
