Disappointed with Rankerx - what about GSASER?

After running Rankerx for 3 months for some websites and use Semrush to check on the backlinks and use Claude to analyse the backlinks - found that all the backlinks are useless. Where DA is more than 20 or as good as 50+, all of them are no-follows. Claude says these no-follows links give no equity-value. It's a waste of time.

I want to try GSA SER. Are the GSA SERV verified lists also mostly no-follows type of backlinks?

From what I’ve seen, GSA SER verified lists can also contain a lot of nofollow links, depending heavily on the platform types and the list quality. So I wouldn’t switch from RankerX to GSA SER expecting the software itself to solve the equity problem.

gsa lists are the same or worse, mostly nofollow profiles and comments. dont expect ******** equity from that tier. what these tools are actually for is tier 2, pointing them to your real links so they get crawled faster. if you use them as tier 1 you get nothing, thats why you saw no results with rankerx.

do i need to index these tier 2 links in order to help tier 1 crawled faster?

I think you’re focusing a bit too much on DA and ********/nofollow. I’d check if those links are even getting indexed first before blaming RankerX.

I am keen to buy backlinking services that are not using Rankerx or GSA SER.
How can i tell whether these vendors are using Rx or GSA?
How to look for vendors who create backlinks that are do-follow & indexed?
Any recommendations?

First, you need to understand how these tools work. If someone fails with the strategy, they will be disappointed and frustrated with what they've done and how they've used them. It's not a blame on the tools themselves. I rarely use Ranker X because I don't like the UI and how slow it works (I own more than 600 domains and currently at least 350 websites are active with links being built daily). But that doesn't mean Ranker X isn't working. I use GSA SER every day and own multiple copies, plus at least a single license of many link building tools because I never outsource link building (I can't simply trust it, and I'm unable to troubleshoot if a site struggles somewhere in the journey since we don't see all the health status of link building campaigns we purchase).

Buy GSA SER if you have a solid SEO strategy that can be automated. I myself focus on tiered link building and do tiers 1 to 3 all with tools, however I build tier 1 manually or semi-auto while using a few platforms like articles and forums from selected engines and link lists from GSA, and sometimes use Money Robot since they contain some permanent do-follows. No matter what, you must index tier 1 or pass silent signals to tier 1. However, if your strategy requires 100% do-follow links from niche edits, of course you'll be disappointed with Ranker X. If the tool works fine with no engine failures and builds links as you chose, and you get no results, that's not the tool's responsibility. I would suggest you do better niche research and develop a good strategy before starting automation.

Yes, a lot of GSA SER verified links can still be nofollow. Being on a verified list doesn’t necessarily mean the link passes SEO value. If you’re specifically looking for ******** backlinks, you’ll need to filter the platforms/engines carefully rather than relying on verified lists alone.

Do you also own a copy of SEO NEO? Any comments on SEO NEO?

I own their SEOAP, which I didn't like, and after they launched SEO NEO, they keep pushing their customers to update to it. I don't like that kind of shady approach. I'm currently using GSA SER on all tiers and sometimes Ranker X or Money Robot (not often). Nowadays, it's best to automate self-hosted pages (buffer sites as tier 1) manually and tiers 2 and 3 with GSA SER, since it's a one-time fee software. Anyway, like I mentioned before, since you were disappointed with Ranker X, which is a great and up-to-date software, you may need to reconsider what you're working on. Based on your first post, it's clearly not about the tool you're using - it's about the strategy and how you're automating it. That said, I don't think SEO NEO will make you happier than Ranker X if you follow the right strategy. Also, SEO is not a quick-start process. Nowadays, SEO is easier than it used to be thanks to AI; however, it still requires time to learn. Spend some time and learn it properly. SEO NEO is more expensive than Ranker X, and what I hate is that both are recurring tools.

SEONEO is super expensive & recurring but Rankerx is one-time charge only. That's why i will use Rankerx only.
Anyway, heard that SEONEO is already not active.

If i run a 3 or 4 tiers campaign & have limited budget for indexing service, which tier should i prioritise - is it Tier1?

GSA SER verified links can be both do-follow and nofollow, so “verified” doesn’t mean “SEO valuable.
I’d focus more on relevance, indexing, quality, and link context than just the follow attribute.

Definitely tier 1. If google doesnt index your tier 1, then the lower tiers are basically pointing to non-existent pages as far as the algorithm is concerned... let the lower tiers index naturally over time.

for me.the results were pretty poor and i did not get much useful value from them.tried a couple of those backlink tools before and honestly they were not worth the money or the time

If you're using tiered link building, I found there's no point in spending on indexers. Instead, use GSA SER and create a 2-tier do-follow campaign and you're good to go. I've been doing it and it saves a lot.

Did you index those backlinks?

RankerX links do not index of their own. So using an indexer tool will help.

This is where tiered link building approaches come in.

Going back to your question about indexing tier 2, since nobody answered it and it is the most important thing in this thread....

No, you do not need those tier 2 links indexed. Crawled and indexed are two different things and people mix them up constantly. A tier 2 link does its job the moment the page it sits on gets crawled, because that crawl is what leads the bot to your tier 1. Whether that tier 2 page ever lands in the index is irrelevant. This is also why paying an indexer for lower tiers is mostly wasted money, you end up paying to index pages whose only job was to be a road.

On the nofollow thing, the answer you got was accurate in about 2018. Google changed nofollow from a directive to a hint in 2019 and announced it publicly, and it has been treated as a hint since. But forget the announcement and just look at where nofollow links actually live. Wikipedia, Reddit, Quora, YouTube descriptions, most news sites, nearly every social platform. Some of the most valuable placements on the internet are nofollow by default. If nofollow genuinely passed nothing, nobody would be paying for Reddit placements, and people pay a lot for them.

Where RankerX actually let you down is the job you gave it. Those links were never tier 1 material. Point them straight at a money site and you will see nothing, which is exactly what happened. Point them at something that already links to your money site and they do fine. i own a RankerX lifetime licence and still use it for web 2.0s. Good tool, wrong layer.

GSA SER is where i do most of my building and the reason is purely cost. One time fee around $99, xevil is also one time, then your only running costs are a VPS, proxies and a link list. Call it $100 a month for everything. Set against buying links at $50 to $300 each and needing dozens per project, it stops being a comparison. i build 300-500 contextual links per tier and a few thousand on the lower tiers, across as many projects as i want, for that same flat cost. It runs overnight and i check on it weekly. The saving is not the price per link, it is that the cost stops scaling with volume at all.

Worth saying i run GSA on all tiers, money sites included, with tight filters and proper content. i know others here build tier 1 manually and only automate below it. Both approaches work, it comes down to how disciplined your filtering and content are.

Last thing, be careful hunting for vendors selling only ******** indexed links. A natural profile is mostly nofollow. Anyone offering you 100% ******** from DA50 sites is either selling links from sites that exist purely to sell links, or not telling you what the attribute really is. That is a far bigger footprint than any nofollow ever was.

Yep, we've been using tiering for shoring up link profiles since before indexing services even existed.
