Option #1 is definitely more cost effective, but I believe iOS created Reddit accounts carry a higher trust score.

We have a way to get the cookie from the user, login, and then kill the headless browser. Spin up a new one with new IP and we just manage everything from there. We found that if Reddit detect you have multiple accounts like 10+ from the same IP it is very quick to ban for spam vs few accounts on a single IP. Interested what others have to share, this is a problem that we have solved for now, but who knows what the reddit god will do

Yeah your set up is pretty much right. Just have to remember to warm accounts up and post non spam content

Using an anti-detect browser and 4G is a reasonable solution. Currently, there is still no good software for managing a large number of Reddit accounts simultaneously like that.

aged accounts are way better for this. we've been running 200+ accounts on 4g sims with minimal bans. the key is mixing aged accounts in (they never get flagged) with fresh ones on antidetect. makes a big difference on how aggressive you can be with activity without getting banned.

biggest issue i see is people buy aged accounts or use proxies but dont warm them up first. need at least 1-2 weeks of normal activity before trying anything. also make sure proxies match account location, otherwise reddit flags it right away

It's way better to use real devices compared to browsers. Cloud phones might work but in my experience Reddit has gotten better at detecting them as of lately. IOS is preferred but you can certainly run Androids without issues. Try to stay away from rooting / jailbreaking though as in 9/10 cases it will get detected (unless you really know what you're doing).
In my opinion, you're better of starting at a smaller scale, testing different methods. See what works the best for you then scale.

Jailbreak iPhone not android , android can be rooted
But reddit doesn't work on rooted Android phone and Android clone doesn't work for posting and comment or profile edit , some android clone can be used for account creating only...
Jailbreak iPhone with crane installed, jailbreak with dopamine , paralera1 works with crane only. Other jailbreak doesn't work at all.
Clone unlimited reddit till you phone support storage... It's light weight so can be created 100-200 reddit container.
Use jailbreak iphone + Shadowrocket for proxy + Ghost for location changing + Automation
There's a device , I forgot the name , you plug with iPhone and you can control iphone using desktop and run python or ai it will do everything you write.....
That Automation work on non jailbreak iphone too.

For 2K accounts, I'd probably stick with antidetect +proxies since you already know the setup. managing 2000 android device sound like headache. just keep things properly separated and avoid aggressive automation.

For 2,000 accounts, I'd avoid building the whole setup around antidetect browsers and rotating proxies. The technical side may scale, but account safety and platform limits become the bigger issue. For legitimate use, I'd stick to Reddit's supported tools/API and keep automation within their rules.

A lot of bans come from inconsistent sessions, fingerprints or sudden changes in activity patterns. An antidetect browser with good proxies usually gives more control over browser fingerprints, but the account behavior still matters a lot. You can start with a smaller batch and see how Reddit reacts before scaling up.
It is when the set up itself is the issue imo. Rather than create an enormous stack of accounts to constantly monitor, i could prefer having fewer accounts that shall be maintained effectively.

honestly the best thing ive learned is account warming matters way more than most people think. even with proxies and antidetect, if you jump in posting immediately youre gonna hit walls. spend the first week just upvoting, commenting on established posts, building that account history naturally. ive had way better success with that approach than just setting up and blasting.
