Last week he was making Elementor WordPress websites and now he is building the future.

There are no developers anymore. Every developer is now an agency because he has four or five AI agents "working under him". And everything is aUtOmAtEd.

Also, for developers to be hired, you need clients. But there are no more clients. Because the clients themselves are now developers.

And the developers are now agency owners. And the agency owners are now the "AI agency owners".

Everyone has automated everything.

So... everyone is now building the future.... but no one is selling anything.

Also, no one is buying anything.

They are all working towards a common goal, that is to build the future.

What the future is you ask? Well.. it is uncertain... because the AI has not finished generating it yet.

The AI agency owners are convincing the clients they can do better AI, because while the client's prompts are

"build me an app like uber"

the agency's prompts are

"build me an app like uber but make it fast like whoooo and super optimized like wheeeee and like super secure and stuff"

Clients also know AI and so they come to developers and say stuff like... "ChatGPT told me this app can be built in 2 weeks, why you want 2 months?"

The developer shrugs and so the client goes back homes, fires up Claude and says

"Build me an app like Uber, but for vegetables."

And now the client is basically your everyday Elon Musk.

So he calls the developer and says - "Alright mate, so this is 80% complete, you finish the last 20%".

The developer audits the code and realises he just fell victim to the pareto principle - the "last 20%" of the code is 80% of the application.

The developer now has no idea what the client is doing... but he can relax because he knows one thing... that they're all working towards the common goal...

"Transforming the future with AI"

yeah thats the general anti-AI sentiment. there will be a lot of AI slop for sure.

but see it from the positive side: coding skills are not a gatekeeper anymore. before AI, so many people had great ideas for apps, but the lacked the skills and the budget to make it happen. this gatekeeper disappeared now.

everyone can build now. if its good or bad, i am not the one to judge. if you ask me, 95% will be AI slop or blatant copies of other existing products.

branding, marketing and distribution are more important than ever.

exactly my point people don't pay developer well and they all have an idea of what to create and i cant blame them when AI is not taking over the world

Always have been.

E.g. 2005-2010y: why did some IT agencies charge $1M for the same task some other agency charge $80K, while doing the same task?
Because of aforementioned things.

Cars that both are made out of plastic, just a bit shinier and got more angles in shape. 10x bump in price.
Our economy is a cycle of mutual deception: we trick others to earn, then let ourselves be tricked to spend.

true, but imagine this: now EVERYONE can build these cars. Now everyone can do these tasks the agencies (no matter the pricing) do. Now the only differentiator is distribution.

OMG... It's just satire guys.

It's true, more people are now learning to market than ever. A lot of these apps will not even take off without proper marketing. If you go to reddit you'll see graveyards of these useless apps and people asking how to get their first customer lol Even the blatant copies will not take off. Like you said, branding, marketing and distribution is now more important.

I'd rather say not cars, but something like this:

it looks like a car (and manages to drive few hundred meters). But one wrong turn and it all crumbles.

Now everyone can do these tasks the agencies (no matter the pricing) do.
Well.. I'd run away from an agency that, while I talk to tells me, "Sorry, I don't know what's LTV, let me ask ChatGPT".

It's inevitable when you got no business experience. You just can't pretend your way into making $100K tickets. Maybe there are some lucky stories, but they're rather exceptions.
