Focus less on the number of backlinks and more on relevance and quality.
A few strong links from sites in your niche can be more useful than dozens of random ones, also make sure the content itself is worth ranking before pushing harder on off-page.

off page will not save u if your on page nd topical authority are weak. focus on getting a few high relevance niche edits or guest posts instead of spamming low tier backllinks.

Guest posts on sites that actually get traffic worked better than stacking random backlinks. I also noticed some links took 2-3 months before any noticeable movement. When I pushed links too broadly across unrelated niches, rankings barely moved even though the backlink count looked good.
