You need more than 1 skill to be successful. You need budgeting, creativity, planning, resourcefulness, administration, research, and on top of that you still need to put in the hours of repeatable work for the task at hand that makes the money.
Get yourself a local job in the local economy so you know and get the value of money easier than any 16 year will ever make money online. You need a source of income asap as you still stay with your parents, and promosing them, that you'll one day get paid once you learn a skill is for the birds. Its going to take you years of sacrifice and learning, unless you really been busy and have a few skills and business under your belt. You can't expect your parents to buy you domains, hosting and or AI. It takes time and planning to get to a point where you can work on projects with no hassle.
If you can work on web development for nothing at first though dude to learn as a skill, you can work cleaning to get paid at the end of the week. I was cleaning offices and toilets at 16, and making more than anyone in my school (i worked before and after school for only a couple of hours). Most important thing was I learned the value of work, and what it is to be organized and have vision (theres 2 more skills that you need to have too! lol) Once i saved up enough money for a PC, I bought one, and started learning from there, keeping my jobs on the go, and trying to sell different things as well in my spare time.
Good luck.
