Is it possible to succeed without a network, just working completely by yourself?

Let me know your thoughts about it.

I don't have many personal thoughts about it, I don't have a network, that's why I'd like to understand the benefits and how good (or toxic) it could be.

you can definitely will start with no network but if you want to do it at the highest nivel you need to make a team but at the very beginning the network is not required as mostly you need ambitions only
 
I have been in business for over 10 years, and I can say with complete confidence that I have understood that your main asset is people. No amount of money will ever help you, but the right environment and the right people will. It should all be win-win, give and take.

I have hit rock bottom many times, and it was only thanks to my connections that I was able to get back on my feet. So, gather people around you, and you will start to develop quickly yourself. It will be very difficult to do it alone, as you will face a shortage of information, insights, and so on.
 
I am a team of one and don’t see that changing at any point in the future. I like working this way and as AI increases o can see less need for expansion

Yes, achieving success alone and without connections is certainly possible, but it significantly limits your options and requires an extremely high level of discipline.
If you get sick, which is normal for the average person, you won't even have anyone to cover for you in your business.
If you don't feel like working today, you won't have anyone to rely on, and you'll have to do it yourself anyway.
It's hard, but of course, you can do everything yourself.
But if you want to achieve great results, you need connections and a good team.
 
Yeah you will. However, your pace will be slower and it will take you longer. Talk of limited influence and reach.
 
If you mean a network of people that you can gossip to and talk about your troubles too, then yes you can do without them. I never needed anyones help from my main money making methods i had. However. i still did require a network, in the form of joining a site and being a seller on the platform. Thats networking to me. Software that i had to buy, and be good with? Thats networking too to me, the most important skill, practice networking.
 
Currently, I believe that continuous hard work alone will not lead to success.

My brother told me: “Hard work is just the passing grade. It is a basic requirement for anyone who wants to succeed. What matters more are opportunities, choices, and a small part of luck.”

Five years have passed since that conversation, and I still haven’t changed my mind. Maybe my perspective will change in the future.

I think you can succeed without a strong network, especially online. You can learn, build skills, create projects and find clients through platforms like BHW, Fiverr, Upwork, etc.

But doing everything completely alone has a downside: you miss feedback, opportunities and people who can open doors faster. So I’d say networking isn’t mandatory for success, but having the right people around you can accelerate it massively.

You don't need a huge network either. Even 2–3 genuine connections can be more valuable than hundreds of random contacts.
