So X has open sourced the For You timeline, do you think service providers will optimise this?

Its been a very long while since I’ve found an actual service provider that actually helps push your account(s) on X

with new updates, does this mean service providers will now be able to tweak their services?

X finally open sourced their For You algorithm. Good providers will study it and adapt. The rest will keep guessing. This changes the game.

It should make things more transparent, but I doubt it’ll suddenly make third party services reliable there’s still a lot of execution involved

Depends? I don’t know.

Their weights are disclosed but I am still skeptical about it but we do know that Twitter/X is for sure focusing on putting more weights if you share via DMs or copy link. Whereas reply account are heavily weighted (that are mutual followers that interact by replying that would gain up to 20 based on my data). For videos, the dwell time (tag: ‘cont_dwell_time’) is 0.004 seconds which compounds up to 60 seconds for a watch time beating likes.

For mute/block, the algorithm actually prioritizes that instead of ignoring your algorithm but at the same time hurting people who post stuff compared to report, is heavily weighted towards the negative, to the point it wouldn’t be recoverable.

If the service provider actually prioritizes ways to get your post to the algorithm via grok or something, videos could help and also sharing through DMs and links can for sure help with the boost or get reply comment to spam on your post to get traffic, etc.

I am actually looking for something to reply if they have any methods.
