I’ve been unable to use my Google Ads account properly lately; is there any way to fix this?

I’ve been unable to use my Google Ads account normally lately; often, after spending less than $10, the system demands identity or facial verification and charges an additional $300. How have others handled this situation?

I’d check whether the account, payment profile, or business details are triggering Google’s risk checks. Are you using the same payment method or business info across multiple Ads accounts?

This could be due to your account being flagged because of billing history, account signals, or verification triggers. I would check account/payment information and contact Google support. Random new accounts will run into this problem as well.

Thanks for your help. I use different details for each account. I deal with so-called "black hat" accounts, where the data is often inconsistent—such as using a US bank card with UK merchant details. Before July, the main issue was simply that the accounts were prone to suspension, but since then, I’ve frequently encountered mandatory facial verification and demands for a $300 prepayment.
I’m not sure if Google has updated its review mechanisms, but there is currently no effective solution.

just contact Google Ads support with screenshots of the charges and verification prompts that may help clarify why it keeps happening

Check your account notification banner first to see if it's a policy suspension, billing issue, or identity verification requirement.
