Hi everyone, hope to see you again!

I came here to share what got me interesting about YMYL content and ai search.

With ai overview, chatgpt, perplexity, claude etc, ranking on Google not only theri target anymore. Bigger challenge is here to getting content credible enough to be retrieved and ai citation system.

Things like E-E-A-T, author credentials, topical authority, entity consistency, relevant brand mentions and authoritative citations those all influence how ai evaluate a source.

This got me thinking about the entity or authority side, if health site builds strong authority through consistent brand mentions and relevant authoritative sources, could the same approach will apply for the other niches ?

Interested to here from you guys?

Yes, I think the same principle can apply to almost any niche. Strong brand mentions, consistent information about the business, relevant citations, expert contributions, and useful content can all help build authority. The important part is that the mentions and sources are genuinely relevant. I would focus on becoming a trusted source first, rather than trying to optimize specifically for AI citations.

I think the same principle can apply across other niches too. The key is building consistent authority around the entity with genuine expertise, relevant mentions, and trustworthy sources backing it up. you can focus more on building a strong overall entity rather than trying to optimize specifically for AI citations.

Agreed. I think strong entity signals and topical authority can help in almost any niche, not just YMYL.

Indeed, as far as I am concerned, the idea hold gud even outside the realm of YMYL topics. the signal could differ according to the topic at hand, but the principle will still remain the same.

obviously, the same idea applie although the type of factor of trust will differ. first, it is about the relevance nd consistency, not the YMYL method.
