What have you seen reddit influence outside of Reddit itself?

My #1 answer of course is Google search. Easy one.

- Posts on big subreddits rank in search
- A link on that post has positive effects on brands

What else we got?

Buying decisions. I see people discover products somewhere else, then search “[product] reddit” before buying. Reddit isn’t always where the purchase journey starts, but it can absolutely be where someone decides yes or no.

It should be noted that people have already searched for brand on reddit. as far as I'm concerned, even in the absence of traffic for the post created initially, the mention of “Reddit” will be a guarantee of credibility.

Reddit discussions often influence buyer research comparison searches YouTube content & newsletters. A useful thread can keep influencing people even after they leave reddit

I’ve seen Reddit posts bring people to a website from Google. Some posts also get shared on other social media. So a good Reddit post can reach people outside Reddit too.

Reddit is wild pool. That it is quoted within and outside of itself is proof that is solid. I have seen referenced from site to site. Even AI searches now index Reddit.
