I've been spending more time learning about web design lately, and one thing I've noticed is that sometimes the smallest changes can have the biggest impact on how a website looks and feels.

Whether it's improving typography, adding more whitespace, choosing a better color palette, or making the navigation simpler, those little details seem to make a huge difference.

So I'm curious:

What's one web design tip or habit that you wish you had learned earlier?

One lesson I wish I'd learned earlier is that simplicity usually wins. It's easy to focus on adding more features or visual effects, but a clean layout, clear navigation, and good readability often create a much better user experience. I also think consistency in spacing, typography, and mobile responsiveness is something that's still overlooked on many websites.

Probably text, both in terms of font and content. Unless we're talking about bottom of the barrel websites full of obvious AI generated images, then this is one of the best things you can do on any page: improving the readability.
