Additionally, ensure your profile picture and bio look professional and trustworthy and maintain a consistent schedule of 1to 2 posts per day with moderately competitive hashtags. Give it a try and see if it improves things

It might be a bit tricky using a new account right now. You should focus on increasing interaction with this account (join some groups, watch videos, and leave reactions, etc). Just act like a real user naturally using the platform. Make sure to avoid any spammy behavior

Depends on your niche and end goal. If you want organic growth, you sctually need to engage on the platform like relevant posts, drop comments, add friends, and click ads to train the algorithm on your target niche. If you just need quick followers /friends for account trust or social proof: the classic thirst-trap angle still works like a charm. Set up a female profile, target Tier-3 / Arab countries, and start adding people. Thirsty guys will flood your profile and send friend requests you can easily rack up thousands of followers in a week this way. Still works like clockwork.

an unfollowed month normally indicates that you mst requires more engagement rather than only more posting.
Join relevant groups, give useful feedback and create content worth sharing. in my opinion the former is more effectives than the latter.
instead i would consider the first month as a test period nd not a sign of failure. experiment with different approaches for content nd see which one gets even the slightest bit of response. also spend some time commenting on some posts nd build vissibility in that way too.
