Hello! What's currently the best strategy for growing new X accounts?

I'm building accounts from scratch, mainly in the adult niche (similar to OnlyFans), but I'm not sure if my current approach is effective.

This is what I'm doing:
- Upgraded the account to X Premium
- Posting 10 main posts per day (image + text)
- Leaving around 100 comments per day on posts from different creators I follow

Over the last two days, my follower count has grown from 6 to 26. However, my posts are getting very low reach, usually around 100–200 views, and occasionally around 500.

Everything is done manually and it's very time consuming. Possible to use any automation of should i stay on manual?

Am I doing something wrong?

What would you recommend as the best approach for growing a brand new account?

Thanks!

I'd cut back on the number of posts and spend more time writing quality replies. From what I've seen, a few thoughtful comments on active accounts often bring more profile visits than posting 10 times a day. I'd stay manual until you figure out what content consistently gets engagement, then automate only the repetitive parts.

20 followers in 2 days on a brand new account honestly isn't bad. I'd keep doing it manually for a bit longer so the account builds some history. Once you know what's actually getting engagement, then think about automating the repetitive stuff. No point automating a strategy that isn't working yet.

You are doing fine, but I would advise to post a bit less, because it might seem spammy and flag your account.

Good content and real engagement usually matter more than posting nonstop

growth takes time, focus more on quality content and real engagement instead of just posting a lot, consistency matters.

Keep it to 3-4 posts a day and do the rest manually so it doesn't look automated. Focus on quick replies with mid-tier creators, and keep promo links limited to your pinned post to protect your reach and trust score.

you are doing way too much for a brand new account man. posting ten times a day and leaving a hundred comments triggers the spam filter instantly. x algorithm probably shadowbanned you already for acting like a bot. just do two high quality posts a day and engage naturally.

Commenting, sharing replying whatever gets you more visibility and followers

Your growth from 6 to 26 followers in 2 days is a good start, improve your profile, hooks, visuals and niche specific engagement before worrying about automation.

If your account is flagged as sensitive content (NSFW), it is automatically excluded from the "For You" feed, trends, and recommendations. The algorithm imposes strict reach limits. In this situation, your own posts rarely reach new audiences — growth happens primarily through replies under large accounts, because replies are visible in public threads.

For a new X account, the best strategy is usually to focus on consistent, useful content and genuine engagement rather than trying to gain followers quickly through shortcuts.

Start with a clear niche and make your profile immediately explain what you post about. Publish consistently, share practical insights or original opinions, and use strong hooks to encourage people to read and respond. Engage with established accounts in your niche by leaving thoughtful replies rather than generic comments.

You can also experiment with different formats—short posts, threads, images, polls, or educational content—and track which ones generate the most meaningful engagement. Over time, building relationships with other creators and consistently providing value is generally more sustainable than relying on artificial engagement or aggressive growth tactics.
