Can niche Facebook groups still be used to make money in 2026?

Such as using it for live web events, affiliate products, building email lists etc? Anyone have experience?

Specialized Facebook groups can still generate good revenue in 2026, but the most effective way to make money isn't necessarily through direct payments from Facebook to the group. Instead, the best approach is usually to build a niche community—establishing trust and credibility—and then sell products.

Yes, niche groups can still work well when the audience has a specific interest or problem. I’d focus on providing useful content first and then introduce relevant offers naturally. Building an email list alongside the group also gives you another way to reach interested members.

Groups focused on religious topics, baking/bakery-related topics, or similar niches are good, as you can offer courses or products related to those interests.

Why not, if they’re filled with active members/organic engagement you can funnel them off platform to convert that into $$.

I like the FB Group, though its not as robust as I thought. I have hundreds of followers on one that I post regular content to weekly, had to tighten the post rules. So at 1000 followers I figure I can sell posts as a form of advertisement for much more. Theoretically I could be charging $5 per post right now and make up to $15 a day. Looking into Group Collector for Onboarding. Thinking of how to improve engagement, perhaps will have a giveaway funnel built in? I get new followers each day though if Im earning then I can offer something, in accordance with the law and regulations. Ranking #1 organic for my main keyword EM group name.

Contemplating starting a third, since its the only asset I see that gets organic followers passively (for the most part). Like a shopper group next, so I can pour in offers with tutorials and more. Once I setup some systems, I will be running more local services and ecommerce. At nite I am moonlighting making apps. For the most part, keep busy, you can frontload lots of work without immediate compensation though in this space. For instance, you can build website and gain SEO benefits in months or app you are building may take 5 months to complete. I can have Group (Affiliate)>SaaS + Offers/Tutorials. Can product showcase my own listings, I like it since its a growable list, though platform specific.

I’ve found that groups seem to be where it’s at these days, at least when it comes to one of my main industries which is SEO.

Some of the larger groups I’ve seen must be making good money on the backend, I’ve never really looked into how about from the owners obviously being able to promote themselves while others adhere to rules.

Besides that fb groups are basically an a-z of niches and the majority of them are buying niches, I mean if I’m looking to purchase or sell something physical these days - I’ll always check on fb groups first, you can literally find anything on them for sale now.

So it’s kind of a funny question as it’ll more come down to you and the type of group you’re operating.

Yes! For me it's just like a shopping preference. While some prefer to check Amazon as their first choice, others prefer to check Facebook groups

Live events relevant affiliate products & email list building can work if you avoid being overly promotional. I think niche Facebook groups can still work in 2026 especially when you focus on building trust & providing value.

I doubt that. But I will suggest you to read threads by Basstrackerboats related to fb groups monetization. May be if you twist those methods, you might make good money still from FB groups.

Facebook groups work best when treated as communities rather than sales channels. The money comes from the trust built over time, not from immediate pitching.

Yes, but they might be effective if there is actual engagement in the group and the offer fits the audience. I would begin by fostering trust; hard selling tends to kill the group fast.

In 2026, niche vertical Facebook groups can still generate revenue. As long as you keep marketing frequency in check and strictly follow platform rules without resorting to excessive hard-selling, you can maintain long-term, stable operations.

what niche are your Facebook groups in? I'm curious to learn more about what you're building

Yeah 100%. As long as there are real eyeballs on the platform, there's money to be made. It all comes down to your angle. If you just drop generic "click my link to make $500/day" posts, you'll get banned or ignored immediately. You need to frame it as genuine value, not spam

Could you tell me if you have an old group created 5-10 years ago to continue earning money, or a new group created now?

Real estate, software product specific (old) and now a shopping one to pump out offers with other content.
So generally now I'm doing a group with something to offer listing wise or product wise, with other offers.

I was allowing no cost posts before though it became a liability, I had to comb through everything because there were 40+ spam prevented on this small group. I think there's negative redflag keywords option, I have to find and setup though for lack of a better solution its on manual approval now.

Why the latest? Well it's a build able evergreen asset, plus I need more ways to get clicks to future General store besides SEO articles.

Group> Listings/Products + Misc income (Affil.) + SaaS

I go wide with my group, gives me more room to work different angles. Social traffic is good, another web asset like GB/Website/Video that can get you clicks. By keeping them on Facebook we have more clicks and interactions there.

I want to cultivate relationships with clients, so I push the phone mainly, forms were just made to spam lately it seems. With a system like a funnel you can push clicks that are free or almost free into some sort of list, in this case a FB Group follower number count is the metric.

Shopping Group>Health Niche: Supplements (PLR)/General Merch

General store .com (automated csv inv.)(Alidropship)(light bulk to wholesale orders)
AMZ wholesale to retail (AMZScout ltd)

This is where I'm leaning. Ecommerce is a constant money flow, you can do transactions and dropship or post fulfill. FBA too. I was making small change before because my strategy was off. You need a sum to buy inventory with reseller permit then try not to take funds out, keep the business growing. Low tier products is more work for little. I'm moving on to higher ticket then complimenting those inhouse big ticket items with dropship import listings on my website. Amz obviously has some restrictions and I may not be able to add bonus in envelope. I can build the web stores with WooCommerce though what it comes down to is traffic. The platform's have traffic if you know how to use them, they also have their fees.
