Singapore mobile proxy farm journey

Business picked up a little and I’m using up more of my modems. But there is a new problem. Some people/places are using a lot of data. I recall one used 85GB in a day, and some of my SIM cards with 300gb are finished within 5 days. I’m concerned that this will draw attention from the ISP. It seems like most proxy providers have a daily limit and it’s somewhere around 15-20gb/day. I think I will set mine at 20GB/day and see how that goes.

With claude, my life has changed. Within the last month, I created a admin dashboard for me to manage my proxysmart servers, a client dashboard for my existing clients and also a reseller dashboard. I could never have created all these without claude. I also set up automations to run on telegram (like openclaw) and remind me to follow up with those who are ending their trial with me. This is only the beginning of what is going to be alot more shocking.

I think this is the wave where those who can create but cannot code, become significantly better. For example, YouTube helps those who already have talent, but does not have the means to be picked up by a producer. So YouTube enables talents with no producers significantly. this is my big break and I intend to maximise it.

In this wave, u need to already know what you create. But it’s ok if you lack the full knowledge, and it’s ok if you cannot code. I think coding skills are still important but advances like this totally accelerates the non-coder creator

I also used claude to write alot of my SEO content. It’s getting more impressions but only very little traffic. I’ll continue to bet on it until the end of this year to see if it’s even converting at all. The story behind this is that it’s supposed to compound, but has a slow start. Good way for me to use my claude credits as writing is one of the main functions of claude.

Otherwise I think I should focus on what is already working, which will be communicating in the popular forums. And maybe build an app to help me to organise my posts and thoughts etc.

I have also withdrawn the first batch of revenue from marketplaces and there seems to be no problem over there. However some marketplaces are barely profitable. I intend to stay there for another 3 months and see if I can sell more or at a higher price etc.

I customised quite alot of the software to my preferences and it breaks regularly which I think its normal. I will need to keep subscribing to claude to fix my problems but it will be well worth it. Almost anything I can think of can be done. The debugging can take up a lot of compute so if u do down the coding route as a non-coder u are committed to the claude max plan.

Now I have like 4 servers running at the same time and I install custom software where I define how it works and how it interacts between the servers. Feels crazy, as if I was a coding pro but no, I just have claude.

So I got a warning email from supabase about a week ago saying I'm running out of "disk IO budget" for the month. I had no idea what that meant. Apparently every time someone opens my dashboard, my software fires off like 6-8 separate questions to the database, and one of them runs on a loop in the background to track how much data each port has used. Add up 100+ ports times 24 hours times 30 days and suddenly you understand why the platform is sending warning emails.

This is the part nobody tells you about being a non-coder shipping software. The app works. Buyers log in, dashboards load, payments go through. From the outside it looks fine. But underneath its holding together with sticky tape and you dont even know which part is on fire until the platform tells you.

Claude went in and reworked it. Instead of asking the database the same question every single time, we save the answer for 5 minutes and reuse it. Instead of 3 separate questions to figure out today's data usage, we ask once for every port at the same time. The client plans page went from 380 milliseconds to 1.5 milliseconds. 250 times faster. Total database reads dropped by around 80 times. The warning email went away.

Nothing about the dashboard looks different to the buyer. Same screens, same numbers, same login. The whole rewrite is invisible. But the bill at end of month will be smaller and the platform wont throttle me halfway through june. This is the kind of work that pays off later, not now.

Connecting to last post, the 20GB/day limit I set is working. Some scrapers hit the cap by lunch and have to wait until next day. Im thinking of letting them top up by paying for extra GB instead of just blocking them. Same idea as how circles.life lets you buy extra data when you finish your bundle. Most buyers wont need it but the heavy users will probably pay. Still need to think about price before turning it on.

On the hardware side, two more phones bricked this month. Both samsung galaxies, both stuck on the boot logo. Ive had maybe 5-6 phones brick on me this year and they are all the older samsungs. The pixel 2 ones have been rock solid. I think samsungs battery management gets confused when the phone is plugged in 24/7. The fix Im testing is a smart plug that cuts power for 5 minutes every night to let the phone rest. Going to wire that up to the whole phone rack and see if the bricking stops.

Magic the gathering side, I have sold off most of the collection now. Took a small loss compared to peak prices but lifted a weight off my mind. The card game world is fun to be in but it does not compound. Coding does. Every claude session leaves me with something I can use again tomorrow. The deck I built last december is worth less today than I paid for it. The dashboard I built last december is more useful today than when I shipped it.

no more warning emails from supabase because I'm paying... and maybe also because I fixed the database issues. business is starting to pick up, and i think its a mix of reasons such as being a more senior member and longer thread post, comments on other forums, staying on the existing marketplaces to show commitment, improving the product like creating modem reboot and swaps which is less commonly found.

i got myself into another card game called riftbound. i have sold out all my magic gathering stuff. i went in on this in feb 2025, and some of the earlier promo cards are starting to pick up real value.

im getting some problems with certain users utilizing more than 20TB per month. obviously im not getting my money back, and after trying various methods i decided to cap the port at 15gb/day. im going in late on this but it seems like everyone else has already figured this out.

i brought in M1 as a provider, maybe 10-20% of the market wants M1, and most of the 70% would still prefer singtel. i couldnt get my hands on any starhub sim card yet. the cloud phones are gettng more interest so im working on purchasing more phones.

my landlord is taking back the living space.... so i have to move the whole farm which is a nightmare. i will place it at my parents place so that it will have a permanent spot. just as a pre-caution, i bought fire extinguishers and fire blankets just in case.

after prolonged use of the e3372 and the m300z.... i can start to see why i prefer e3372. they are a simple stick and easy to manage, but the m300z has wires which easily gets tangled together with u have 32 of them going into the same port. its also much bigger and u need to think of where to place the dongles.

i also noticed that i was getting traffic from youtube, which was one of the experiments i did sometime in march 2026. nothing special just AI generated videos, without any editing whatsoever. but it worked. so now im putting a commitment into 10 Youtube channels and their website (i got traffic from SEO as well, and they even paid for a backlink on my AI slop content). i think this is a long term move that will pay off in the end, but right now it just looks like all the money is going back into the business. at the current rate, the claude max x20 subscription is just sufficient. im using the channels as an excuse to support why i need claude.

im also creating more threads in the marketplace to try to get a feel of how this works. slowly i am exploring more possibilties i can do, like for example create a service to scrape details from shopee/lazada. basically it fuels additional demand for the proxy.
