Is Ai poisoning quietly become the new black hat seo?

Even though AI is becoming increasingly intelligent, I don't think any system will ever be able to replace human intelligence and real-life interactions within the community.

Optimizing content and entities for better AI visibility is legitimate GEO, but creating artificial citation networks or manipulating entities influence AI answers starts looking like black hat AI SEO.

I think real mentions are fine, but making fake ones only to influence AI feels different.

Lately, I have noticing discussion about GEO, Ai Citation, entity seo and optimized content for ai search.

It got me thinking....

If there was someone building large scale of citations network and entity mentioning just for influence ai responses.... where do we draw? Is this simply ai optimization?

I am curious about this ?
Yes sure ,i think the line is crossed when you starts producing citations for the purpose of manipulating AI answers. if they are not genuinne and is generated just to exert influence it is very close to being the proper black hat.
