How Do You Find Content Gaps in Your Niche?

I actually start by looking at the questions people asking in forums, Reddit and the comments on videos or blogs posts in my niche. Then I compare that with what the top websites are already convering and look for topics that are only answered halfway or are outdated.

You can analyze the content you're seeing and use that as a basis to write more compelling and contrasting content. You could also consider using freelance content creators to exchange ideas with them. that's not a bad idea you can give it a try.
 
Look at the top ranking pages and see what they are missing. sometimes the topic is covered but imprtant examples updated information or practical steps are missing.

I generally starts with competitor pages followed by comments, reddit or forums and even Search cionsole to get questions that they failed to answer properly. Small why have not anyone covered this? topics makes better gaps than looking for missed key words.
 
I've relied on Gemini's support quite a bit. the feedback in the reviews has given me many great ideas. Try checking the comments!
 
If you want to rank in US, connect to US vpn and start searching your niche in Google to find content gaps. Reddit and Quora are good places to see what people are asking, copy those topics and search on Google to see if others are covering them
 
use tools like Ahref content gap feature Semrush to see what competitors rank for that you don't. Also manually check top ranking pages for your target keyword and look for sub-topics or questions they haven't covered,
thats usually where the gap is.

@ClivoraX one source nobody here has mentioned yet... your own site search. The queries people run once they're already on your site are a gap list your actual audience wrote for you, and the ones that return no results are the posts you should have written already.
 
Usually compare the top ranking pages and look for questions they do not answer properly. I also check related searches, competitor content, and comments for topics people keep asking about. The best gaps are usually where you can provide clearer information, better examples, or a more complete answer.
 
I usuallly check a few competitor sites and see what they missed or did not explain well. then I try to cover that gap with my own content.
 
Going back a few years now but I used to do three quite boring things:

manually compare sitemaps and list what we both covered, only I covered and what I was missing. It gave me a good idea of where to expand and where to double down.

I’d imagine this would be easy to do with AI. Use a XML to CSV converter and up compare and contracts.

Another thing I used to do was go to the best sellers on Amazon and look at comments and then chapter titles.

Finally I would look at magazines in the niche (would never buy them just look in the shop).
