This is just a random thought I had yesterday.

I notice that Patreon profiles which focus on erotic art (i.e. hentai) or on a specific fetish get a decent amount of loyal "patrons" willing to pay monthly to see the content hidden from visitors.

What if someone took copyright free art to add it to his Patreon in order to get viewers willing to pay to see it? What if the same said person took the artworks from foreign sharing platforms? Kinda like Deviantart but for asian users for example (as to lower the chances of being found out).

I'm pretty sure this method might be legally "legit" (just bypassing the system) but it raises questions about its ethical ambiguity (if the art is copyrighted it would be plagiarism). It's in the same vein as any other Black Hat method involving other types of porn but still.

Did anyone here try to do this?
I'd like to know your take on it.

most ppl posting paid shit on patreon started out by posting free shit like that, since most ppl pay for very obscure niches, you would be quickly found out and reported *they know their shit in and out*, but very nice idea, thats a productive way of thinking, keep at it!

I see, so it seems like others more or less tried it before.
I might get to this method today with a Twitter and Deviantart accounts alongside the Patreon one. I'll keep this topic uploaded and if it goes well I'll see whether or not it works too for music!

just don't let a Shinigami kill ya :P

i think it can work, but i don't think you'll earn much + it isn't sustainable in the long run- people might be stupid but they do catch on, a few reports and everything goes to shambles.

If you are going to copy - paste someone else's work at least be honest about. Don't post it like your own content. Market yourself as an expert in a niche emphasize on things like "hand picked" "only the best" "according to your needs" even if it is some weird fetish. People don't really care about who made it. They just want a steady stream of good content and will pay for that.

If you edit in some way it will work no issue like adding a logo and change with a editing program and maybe add some filters but is not really the best way to advertise this ...... is better if you do unique art using ai based on the content you see at your competitors

But have you actually tried ? Because there is no point to it if someone reports you and your account is terminated.
