AI search is growing fast. If you had to choose just one, would you prefer a DR 90 backlink or a mention in a ChatGPT answer?

Which one do you think will bring more value in the long run, and why?

I think that in this cas, it will depend on the context. DR 90 link surel transmits SEO signal, while ChatGPT wil probably become even more valuable with time as more people begin performing their querie via AI. It will be best if there were mention in both case.
 
I would choose the DR 90 backlink if it is relevant and natural. It can help SEO over time. A ChatGPT mention is useful for visibility, but it is less predictable.

If a product website say an App or an actual service, I would prefer chatGPT mention. For an information website, I think I would go for the link if the link is from a valuable website with real authority I could benefit from.

I would choose AI, DR 90 means nothing.

AI gives visibility, and if the topic my site got featured in AI is very popular, it means more people knowing about my brand.

They are likely going to search more about it, and it's possible people talk about my website on other platforms.
 
If I had to pick just one, I'd still go with the DR 90 backlink.

A legit DR 90 link builds long-term domain authority that helps you rank across hundreds of keywords in traditional search. Plus AI models pull their knowledge from top ranking, high authority web pages anyway, so building real search authority eventually helps you get cited in AI answers as kind of a byproduct.

A direct ChatGPT mention is great for instant, high intent referral traffic, but AI responses change constantly depending on how someone phrases their prompt. The backlink just gives you compounding value that lasts a lot longer.
 
I would select a ChatGPT backlink if it qualifies for the traffic and earns trust.

DR90 backlinks are worth while but visibility and brand authority count even more in the long run.
 
I will definately choose chatgpt mention. a backlink is useful but geting recommended directly to users can bring real attention to my brand.

Great question. I will choose chatgpt mention because i think people use to believe chatgpt more than any other high authority website. And chatgpt mention is much more effective than DR 90 backlink in many ways. Because in this era of AI most people became lazy to spend more time on research. They simply just type their problem on chatgpt to get solution and whatever chatgpt mentions people feel easy and use to believe chatgpt more.
