Backlinks are simply links from other websites pointing to your site.
They remain an important part of off-page SEO because links can help search engines understand the authority and relevance of a website.
Some potential benefits include:
• Better search visibility
• Stronger website authority
• Increased organic traffic
• Referral traffic
• Better credibility within your niche
That said, I don't think backlink building should be treated as a numbers game.
100 irrelevant links don't automatically beat 10 relevant, quality links.
The source of the link, topical relevance, context, and overall quality all matter.
For me, the better approach is to build links that actually make sense for the website and its niche.
What's your approach to link building — quality or quantity?
