Consolidating keyword cannibalization by merging weak, overlapping articles into one definitive guide and 301ing the rest gave me the biggest traffic jump of my career.
Prune bloated pages and create tight clusters around any particular topic inside one silo. once google realised that we had total coverage for a topic but not 40 different posts fighting against each other traffic shot up quite fast.
one important modification that really benefited me was the improvement of topical coverage on my website.this involved creating relevant content based on some main topics nd linking them internally in a good way. the website became more credible in addition to an increasse in traffic.

The second biggest improvement was rewriting title tags on pages ranking between positions 5 and 15. Better titles improved CTR, which led to better rankings.
Publishing more content had much less impact than improving existing content.
