Pretty common though.. You get an initial lift from residual signals, then it plateaus once that fades.I picked up an expired domain that had decent history and some existing authority. At first, the rankings moved quickly, but after a few months, everything slowed down.
Has anyone experienced this with expired domains?
What do you usually check when an expired domain stops growing?
I usually check on backlink decay/quality, anchor profile, past usage (Wayback), topical alignment, and indexation. If all looks clean, it just needs fresh authority links + consistent content to push it further.
