Which is the one SEO practice that helped your website most?

One thing above everything else, fixing internal linking.

I added more contextual internal links to my important pages from relevant articles. Over the next six weeks, you will notice that their traffic has increased.

Internal links help pass authority between your pages and make your site structure clearer to Google.

The second biggest improvement was rewriting title tags on pages ranking between positions 5 and 15. Better titles improved CTR, which led to better rankings.

Publishing more content had much less impact than improving existing content.

building a few relevant high quality backlinks helps a lot in competitive topics I focused more on relevance and quality instead of trying to get a large number of links.
 
For me keeping the site organized with clear internal links seems like one of the most valuable improvements

That’s a good strategy indeed. It is always advisable to combine duplicate information rather than having a lot of thin pages competing with one anther.
Ensure that you redirect properly to avoid losing out on any value you might have

One quality backlink form a relevant site still beats dozens of random links .
 
For me, improving content around search intent made the biggest difference. I also found that better internal linking helped important pages perform more consistently.
 
Consistently creating high-quality content targeting relevant keywords helped me improve rankings and organic traffic.

Of course, the value of internal links is often underestimated. Even small changes to the page can bring results, particularly when the content has good intent.
 
Probably fixing the content itself for me.


I used to spend a lot of time worrying about keywords and stuff, but honestly, making the article actually useful seemed to help more.


Internal links definitely help too, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with content.

Improving content around search intent. Once focused more on what people actually wanted to find instead of just adding keywords, rankings and traffic improved.

Selecting the right keywords and optimizing your content helped you improve your ranking the most.
 
I'd say internal linking Once I started connecting related pages more naturally it became easier for visitors to find other useful content and the site structure made more sense overall
 
For me it was fixing internal links I didn't think it would make much difference but once I connected the related pages properly things started looking better

i think guest posting/link building, and fresh content that must be optimized for AI as well. guest posting is still beneficial for websites if you focus on quality, mostly people by links from random websites or spammy websites and ultimately get hit by google. So for now, quality is more important instead of quantity in SEO in 2026.
