The Sale / transfer of marketplace threads

So, for example, could we list a marketplace thread/service in sites like flippa, empireflippers or feinternational then you guys here at bhw handle the marketplace thread movement?

Or would the sale need to be here in bhw?

The first step is to contact @Diamond Damien to start the process. Sales like that migrate from the forum and thusly beyond the scope of moderators/admins. Making it more work than it needs to be.

It’s a reasonable process. Good question though.

Yes you can. We’ve worked with Flippa and FEInternational as part of their asset transfer process in the past where the BHW account was considered a considerable asset in the sale of a service, bringing the majority of the revenue from a marketplace listing. Please note, however the sale is made we still run the same checks to ensure the new owner of the service can deliver as advertised and are transparent that there is a new seller involved in the transaction. This is part of the change log process as outlined above.

Very interesting.

BHW has become a great asset.

What stats do we need from a BST thread to sell?

Is there analytics one can share? or is it just sales and visible activity (comments/likes)?

Thanks - further detail of the process can be seen here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-black-hat-world-marketplace-rules.1295700/#post-13962693

Typically, if you're not selling via a broker, they are able to be listed on the same terms as per our marketplace review process detailed here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-black-hat-world-marketplace-rules.1295700/

As we don't currently have sales details for every thread on the marketplace you'd rely on the detail in the listing initially but, as with every broker, you need to do your own due diligence to satisfy yourself.

Sorry I'm not sure how this relates to the sale transfer of marketplace threads please feel free to pm me or raise an advertising request if you have a query about selling your threads https://www.blackhatworld.com/pages/advertising/

It seems like you're exploring the possibility of selling your sales thread on the BHW marketplace to another member. While I can't provide specific details on the process or pricing, I can offer some guidance. Selling a thread on BHW can indeed be a way to transfer ownership and potentially profit from a successful sales thread. The value of your thread will depend on various factors, including its monthly profit, the niche it serves, its reputation, and the quality of the products or services offered. Generally, threads generating higher profits will fetch a higher price. To proceed, you can start by researching similar sales threads that have been sold on BHW in the past to get an idea of market value. Then, you can reach out to potential buyers through private messages or sales threads on the forum. It's essential to communicate transparently and provide relevant data and metrics to interested buyers to negotiate a fair price. Additionally, make sure to follow BHW's guidelines and rules regarding thread sales to ensure a smooth and legitimate transaction.
Thanks for the reply but my doubts were already cleared by BHW team.

We've been running this service for about 3 years where members have asked us for help selling their services on BHW. In the last few months, demand has taken off so we thought a post about the process behind selling services would be best to explain the process and provide full transparency.

So you've noted that the account is younger than the thread they posted? How has this happened?

Sometimes a member has the good fortune to be able to sell their service. This can be in the form of purely selling a service they list on BHW through to selling the entire brand or company through the services of a company like our very own https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/meathead1234.18383/ co-owner of FE International.

Why is the Original Poster different to the person answering early questions about the thread?

We do this for transparency - the Original Poster (LINK) was the owner of the thread at the time these questions were being asked. The ownership of the thread is then passed to the new thread owner (LINK) . We then re-review the service to make sure the new user can supply as listed. We then update the ownership of the thread and set live.

The ownership of this marketplace thread remains unchanged - but it's provided by a new BHW username.

Why not just hand over the BHW account?

Often a seller on the BHW marketplace will be providing more than 1 brand or service on BHW. When they sell their service, the buyer only purchases one of their services or brands so the marketplace services need to be split between 2 accounts. Usual marketplace rules apply https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/bhw-marketplace-rules-and-how-to-post.203/ .

Can I split out my thread before selling it so I have 2 accounts on BHW?

No

What's the process?

  1. We ask that a conversation is started with @Diamond Damien which includes both the buyer and the seller detailing:
    1. what is being sold (ie part of a thread, the whole service, the account)
    2. the price and
    3. date of transfer
  2. We check that everything is in order running through our own due diligence to ensure it's all correct and above board.
  3. We then put the new owner of the thread through the same marketplace review they would run through if they were fresh into the marketplace.
  4. If they pass this review with the same results as the previous owner there are no further changes. If there is an improvement/downgrading in service, then we reflect this in the review.
  5. We then create this thread - with the service as it was at the time of transfer (see below) explaining what's happened for transparency.

Are you interested in listing your marketplace services for sale?

Want to sell your BHW Marketplace service? From some healthy six-figure deals to a couple of thousand $$$$ we help BHW Forum Members in good standing sell their marketplace services. We also work with most of the leaders in the industry if your service is larger than BHW (please note currently we only accept BHW members with live sales threads in the marketplace). PM Diamond Damien for an opening discussion and introduction.
It's great to see BHW providing transparency around the process of selling services in the marketplace. The clear steps for transferring ownership, re-reviewing services, and updating thread information help maintain trust and quality for buyers. Splitting services between accounts and involving both the buyer and seller in a thorough due diligence process ensures a fair transition. This approach keeps the marketplace running smoothly while accommodating the growing demand for service sales.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! The transparency around service ownership transfers is really helpful. It's clear that you’ve put a solid process in place to ensure everything runs smoothly when a service changes hands. The steps you’ve outlined for due diligence and the review process will definitely help keep things fair for both buyers and sellers. For anyone considering selling, it’s great to know they can rely on this structured approach.

Thanks for explaining this. Makes sense why the person who first posted the questions is not always the same as the final owner, that's a fair way to keep things honest. One thing I want to know, is there some rough price range based on monthly income, or is it just whatever the buyer and seller agree on?

We don’t get involved in the pricing. It’s whatever the 2 parties negotiate.
