What’s your strategy for building authority on a new blog?

For a new blog, I’d lean into depth + intent first, not just on content length.

If your pages actually solve the searcher’s problem better than what’s out there, you can get traction even with a weaker link profile.

Think clusters. Cover the whole topic, hit all sub-questions, link everything together.

Once you’ve got a decent topical base (doesn’t need to be huge), then start adding links at a steady pace. A handful of clean, relevant branded links usually does more than blasting random edits.

I’m starting a new blog and want to build authority quickly. Should I focus more on long-form content or speed up my backlink building? What worked for you?
i would do both but not in equal measures. intially concentrate on putting up good quality content nd then develop backlinks gradually as the pages get indexed. it has worked better for me compared to develloping backlinks initially.

Neither approach is effective when used on a new topic area tbh . use topical authority in full force first by clustering 30 to 40 pieces of content on ur own site and then use guest posting and niche editing to those key hub pages.

I'd focus on publishing genuinely helpful, well-structured content first and then build relevant, quality backlinks over time. That combination has been more reliable than trying to grow links quickly without a strong content foundation.

I think that i should work on building my topics depth first. create 10 to 15 posts that would be useful and then try to get just a few gud links rather than going for several hundred.
Quality content makes people want to link to u and it seems that backlinks get fixed better when there is already some thing on ur site.

I think strong content should come first Backlinks seem to work better when there's something worth linking to
