Half of us here spend ten to twelve hours a day staring at monitors. You start out thinking any cheap setup is fine, and a few years later you're spending hours researching chairs just to find something that doesn't wreck your spine.

Honestly it feels like no matter how much time you spend at the gym or how well you eat, sitting at a computer all day just undoes all of it.

Seriously, invest in a proper chair and get your monitor height right early on. Your future self will thank you.

Yeah its true sitting for long hours on chair totally changed my posture i didn't expect this will happen to my physique.

I am trying multiple posture correction exercise nothing works and I am not sure by investing in chairs will be helpful

100% agree. A lot of people spend money on a good PC setup but forget the one thing they sit on for 8–10 hours every day :D.

A proper chair, monitor height, and taking small breaks make a huge difference. Your back will definitely remind you later if you ignore it.

This is often overlooked but it is actually very important.

One challenge I ran into a few months ago when I was trying to see if I could change my chair was the pricing. To get a good chair now is pretty expensive : D

Nothing is actually wrong with my chair and I have had it for quite a few years.
The reason I thought I should probably change it was because of some sounds it made and some small tears on the armrests

Then I checked the prices online and was wowed : D

Then I went to a store to see if maybe it was just the online prices that were unnecessarily pumped up, but the ones I saw in the store were pretty expensive too.

The affordable ones weren't as sturdy as the current one I have, so if I actually bought one, it would be more of a downgrade

So I just tightened up the one I have with my Allen key, as it turned out the sounds I was hearing were mostly coming from loose nuts and bolts. Then I had the leather changed.

It has been as good as brand new ever since. If it ain't completely broken, don't fix it... or let me say, don't buy a new one : D

Five years ago, I used to sit for 15 hours straight. No exercise, no sports - nothing. I was overweight, had joint pain, and my posture was terrible.

One of my cousins encouraged me to join the gym with him, and that completely changed my routine. I started going regularly and picked up sports as well.

Now I never work for hours without a break. I get up every so often, clean my room, make myself a coffee, play sports in the evening, and even take a 30-minute to 1-hour nap during the day. Those small habits have made a huge difference to both my health and my productivity.
