Is Reddit still effective for promoting a new platform or website?

Reddit’s main audience seems to be more focused on North America, Europe, and other English-speaking markets. So I am wondering if Reddit is still useful if the target market is not the US or Europe, but countries like Brazil, Bangladesh, India, Nigeria, Indonesia, or other developing markets. So, does Reddit work well for third-world or emerging markets?

Compared with Telegram, Facebook Groups, WhatsApp groups, TikTok, or local forums, how strong is Reddit today?

Reddit still works, but only if your target audience is actually there. For US, Canada, UK, and parts of Europe, it's great. For countries like Bangladesh or Nigeria, I'd focus more on Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp, or local communities. Reddit isn't bad, it's just not the main hangout for those markets.

Let me add some extra explanations.

We'd like to build a community around our product, but rather than using local forums, I wonder if it's possible to use Reddit the same way other products have made their own.

It will be an Official Community and have some event or promotion tasks for the users of our product.

Lot of reddit users are from India also. The corresponding sub reddits have a lot of threads and comments.
