What's Your Best Performing LinkedIn Content Format?

Its all about dwell time and getting people to click that "see more" button in the first two lines. @lucasmiller is right that most carousels look identical now, but uploading a PDF still gets the best reach because it keeps people on the post longer. If you are trying to drive traffic off the platform though, format doesn't matter as much as editing the link in after publishing... otherwise the algo kills the reach anyway.

I have made some very successful posts and the one thing I can tell you is that they were very valuable and on a topic of interest to people. Once I posted an interesting series of posts on the Stake brand and they got very decent traffic. You can definitely make posts which engage the audience and share experiences, but this kind of content does not suit me.

i would say that my most consistent formats have been carousels nd short and concisse posts. video posts may also be effective but they will be effective only if they deliver their message very quickly. what i believe to be more important is the topic of the post.
 
Short videos has been giving me best reach lately, especially when they get straight to the point in the few seconds. Carousel are still stronger for saves and deeper engagement.

i have had better luck with simple posts that start a genuine discusion rather than polished content. a short lesson, mistake, or opinion usually gets more meaningful replies than a fancy format. carousels are useful for educational topics, but i would not choose a format without looking at what the audience actually responds to.
