On a site older than a year or two you almost always have two or three pages half-ranking for the same term, splitting clicks and confusing Google about which to show. My habit is to pull Search Console, group queries by landing page, and wherever multiple URLs trade places for one query, pick the strongest, consolidate the rest into it with 301s, and point internal links with descriptive anchors at the winner.
