A new version of the Reddit ban?

Over the past few days, I've noticed a new Reddit notification on 6 of my accounts.
It's worth noting that not all of them were automated; some were completely organic.
Accounts no older than two weeks, with up to 10 contributions.
Has anyone had experience with this verification, and what happens to the account afterward? Is it worth wasting time on it?
More accurate statistics: 6 accounts out of 800 in progress.
The message is sent to accounts without any promotional activity, during the warm-up phase.

with only 6 out of 800 affected i'd complete the verification and keep monitoring befor assuming it's a wider rollout. It does not seem tied to promotional activity especially during the warm up phase. I've come across this on a few account recently as well.
 
Reddit has started cracking down on the use of multiple accounts. Requiring user verification has become a new challenge for anyone trying to manage several accounts at the same time.

is it photo id verfication??
 
It looks like reddit is testing more account checks lately, but the outcome seems to vary depending on the account history and activity.

Today there are already 15 of them, and I think in the near future all this will scale up
 
Reddit's new user verification requirements will likely make things much more difficult for people who manage multiple accounts.
 
damn, they are really closing many gates lately, reddit will change a lot in the coming weeks i guess
 
This is the first time I've seen this, to be honest, what proxies do you use? Do you open several accounts on one IP and have bots warm up the accounts for you because with the number you wrote 800, manually saving 50 is difficult here..and you have 800)) you're really surprised..
 
wonder if reddit is aligning with what google is doing, restricting multiple accounts, by using a qr code by a phone, limiting the amount of emails you make.
 
I haven't seen it on any of mine yet. Maybe they're rolling it out gradually or only targeting certain accounts.

I use mobile rotation proxy.
I've been playing around with settings, providers, and all the available proxy tools. I'll say that Reddit doesn't pay much attention to this, and the ban rate doesn't change depending on the proxy settings.

It's not exactly a ban, but if you don't pass the verification, it is. The verification process prompts you to register your account as an app (bot) or to verify your "humanity" using a generated token on a flash drive.

what does 'register your account as an app (bot)' mean for your account? Will it have a Bot badge for others to see or you will lose certain permissions on Reddit

Yes, I think there will be an APP icon next to the account. Reddit used to give these icons automatically, but now something has changed.
