Honestly? Content writing isn't dead, but the game has completely changed.

If someone was just churning out generic, basic 500-word SEO articles that sounded like a textbook, AI basically ate their lunch. That kind of writing is a commodity now.

But for actual good writers? It’s a different story.

AI can regurgitate facts and write fast, but it can't share real human experience, hot takes, actual interviews, or that specific tone/humor that makes a reader stay on a page. People are already getting tired of reading the same bland, robotic AI voice everywhere online.

Right now, the best writers aren't fighting AI—they're using it to do the boring research and outlining, while they focus on the actual strategy, voice, and personal touch. So yeah, the low-effort writing jobs are mostly gone, but top-tier, opinionated, high-value human writing is actually worth more now than it was before.

Generic content is much easier to replace now, but writers who bring original insights, experience, or a unique voice are still valuable. AI is a tool, not a replacement for that.

AI has definitely wiped out the average, low-tier content writers. However, top-tier writers who can add real human experience, emotion, and unique insights are actually more valuable than ever right now. You can't fully fake that personal touch yet.
