I usually do not share the link directly. I first join the discussion, give some useful points and share my opinions only when it actually helps.

I try to be part of the community first. I comment, answer questions and share my content only when it adds some value to the discussion.
 
I usually just make the post useful on its own. If people find value in it, the engagement comes naturally.
 
you can learn a lot about marketing by looking at the civil war in the r/Mattress subreddit, where a lot of affiliate marketers who are making a ton of money every year are fighting over there. Check the subreddit history and see how the mods were fighting. You can also study how affiliate marketers are carefully marketing themselves there, it will be a great start
 
comment on the question posts that have connect in your product make sure its informative and in natural tone then add add your product in none promotional way
 
I usually avoid making the post feel like an ad. Start by sharing the useful part directly in the subreddit, then mention your full post only if it genuinely adds value.
