I update old content regularly. If a page already has some authority and impressions......a good refresh can often move it up faster than publishing a brand-new article. I have also seen ranking recoveries from updates alone..especially after improving search intent match, structure, and internal linking

Start with pages that still get impressions but are losing clicks or rankings. Those are usually worth fixing. If the page has no traffic, no links, and no clear intent left, changing the date won’t do much.

Yes I still think it's worth it. I've had older pages start getting more traffic again after updating outdated info, improving the title and adding a few new sections that actually answer what people are searching for now. It doesn't work every time but updating a page that's already relevant has often been faster for me than creating a brand new one

Yep, particularly for posts that have a bit of a history behind them. i has found better success in reviving a fading post compared to starting fresh on a new one provided the update is worth it.
