Countries Moving to Restrict Social Media for Kids.

Funny thread to read on a forum where half the membership beats verification systems professionally. Whatever age gate they ship, the 14 year olds will have the workaround in a group chat by the end of week one, and the only people actually uploading passports will be the adults.

The uncomfortable bit for this crowd: we know exactly how well the feeds are engineered because engineering attention is the day job. I would not hand a 13 year old a slot machine either.

So the ban part I get, even if it will not work as designed. The ID part is where it gets expensive for everyone except the kids.

Let's just say that here, we're all fully aware of the issues and the risks.
Except that no one asked us for our opinion.
And that's exactly what's so tragic.

A growing number of countries are stepping in to limit social media access for children and teens and it is sparking a major global debate.

Australia has already banned social media for under 16.
Now countries like Denmark, France, Spain, and the UK are considering similar moves.

The goal ? Protect kids from:
• Addiction
• Cyberbullying
• Mental health issues

But critics say:
• It could invade privacy
• It may not even work

So here is the real question:
Should kids under 16 be banned from social media or should we make platforms safer instead?
What do you thinks guys ?
I think, age limit is important for users. It can keep teenagers safe from many kind of negative things.

I completely support this. If this addiction for mobiles is not stopped in kids, it can result in severe consequences in future.

we should banned SM under 18 because there are unwanted things happen so better avoid.
