I started Reddit ads yesterday for my gaming niche. The dashboard says I got 150 clicks, but my Shopify/Google Analytics shows only 5 people actually visited the site. Are these all bots? I’m using 'Feed' ads. Is there a way to stop this fake traffic?

Check if its a cloaker issue, also log the IPs if you can.

You can check the IPs on MaxMind, Scamalytics and verify they are real IPs. Residential proxies are usually more flagged than normal human ISP IPs.

Check if its a cloaker issue,
You should first check the traffic source, device, and region. You can manage this effectively with the help of TrafficGuardian tools.

Maybe it is your cloaker issue. Which cloaker are you using? You can give another cloaker a try. I have personally used Trustcloaker for around 1 year now and it works fine for me. You can give it a try to see if it helps. Also, check if your redirect settings are accidentally filtering out real users along with the bots, because sometimes the aggressive filters catch genuine mobile traffic too.

this is a cloaking issue ,
you can change your cloaker tool . i am suggest personaly use trafficshield, and other name newly is market trafficguardian with advanced features.

Not necessarily bots. There’s often a big gap between Reddit Ads clicks and actual sessions in Shopify/GA due to things like tracking loss, delayed page loads, ad blockers, or users bouncing before the page fully fires analytics. “Cloaking” gets mentioned a lot, but in most cases it’s usually tracking or attribution issues rather than that. I’d double-check your UTM setup, landing page speed, and whether GA is firing correctly on first load before assuming it’s fake traffic.

check ur mobile optimization and speed.
Also if ur using a generic template reddit bots might just be bouncing before the page even loads.

Doesn’t look normal tbh. Some drop between clicks and sessions is fine, but 150 clicks -> 5 visits usually means tracking/cloaker/redirect issue or low quality bot traffic. I’d first test the ad link manually on mobile and check server logs before blaming Reddit completely.

Reddit traffic is usually low quality + bot-heavy, check UTMs and block low-quality placements, don’t trust Reddit clicks alone.

i don’t think all are bots becuase it could be a tracking issue or the low quality clicks and also check your tracking setup or landing page and try testing different placements to find better traffic.
