Odyssey is definitely a top notch movie.In my opinion,it will take the oscar.

Nolan is popular for designing complex films like a clockwork, giving so much attention to detail. However, Oppenheimer and and The Odyssey feel more like classic Hollywood movies. His mark is missing, that's what most people complain about. But, at the same time, he didn't get the recognition he deserved when he made films like Inception and Interstellar. He is making slow pace movies with a linear storyline so that the members in the panel can understand them

It is an event film, so enjoy it for the theatrical experience without worrying about historical accuracies. Production quality is good as Nolan prefers practical effects over CGI. The film shows the aftermath of the trojan war, so the basic knowledge of the mythology helps you understand the story better.
